Bereavement Ministry is an organized parish response to the needs of a grieving family at the death of a loved one.  Bereavement Ministers have been trained to assist families in planning the funeral liturgy in an effort to make the Mass of Christian Burial more personal for those who are in mourning.  In addition to assisting the family plan the Mass, they would also provide a follow up contact from the parish as a friend, and provide support group information if necessary.  Additional Bereavement Ministers are recruited via the bulletin and pulpit announcements as needed.
